Plug N' Plate® is a new concept in plating small parts. Our unique mains power pack supplies just the right amount of power allowing you to brush, and in some situations, dip plate your smaller components.
The Plug N' Plate® system will also allow you to patch repair areas where the original plating has worn away.
Plug N' Plate® is ideal for vintage vehicle restorers, antique collectors and dealers, and small workshops doing prototype work.
What could be simpler? The Plug N' Plate® wand is attached to the red plug on the Power Pack, and the alligator clip is attached to the work-piece. The end of the wand is covered in an absorbent bandage, which is soaked in the plating solution for a few seconds.
By simply stroking the part with swift brush strokes, the circuit is closed and the plating metal bearing solution goes to work, depositing its beautiful layer onto the object.
Plug N' Plate® is perfect for gold plating car emblems. Simply strip the chrome off with Chrome Stripper, then apply the gold. Full instructions are included.
Plug N' Plate® may be applied onto most metals. To see which kit plates onto which metal, read our instruction booklet. To plate onto Stainless Steel, use the Plug N' Plate® Copper system. When gold plating onto stainless, apply our Stainless Steel Activator For Gold with a stainless wand and 4.5V power pack, then you may gold plate directly onto the stainless part.
We do not recommend plating aluminum directly with our Plug N' Plate® kits. Use our Flash Copper Kit with zincate primer first, then you may Plug N' Plate® onto the copper. To plate plastic, or other non-conductive parts, spray with Conductive Paint, dip in Tinning Solution, then tank plate with acid copper, then use a Plug N' Plate® kit.

I used this kit to do a mini-tank plate of the bolt and safety from an old Winchester 67a boy's rifle, preferring nickel to the original chrome. And then I used the equipment plus a bottle of solution to gold plate the trigger of an ancient Smith & Wesson top-break revolver. The system works very well, although I prefer to use it as a miniature tank plate rather than actual brush plating.Rating
I did brush-plate a $1 US coin, though, just for fun. That worked out well, too.

I first bought this kit from Micro Mark tools and had no idea it was a Caswell product. Started doing some brass items and an old watch I had. It didn't do so well on my 1911 .45 though. The gun wouldn't take to the nickel at all. Then I tried to copper plate it first then do the nickel. It took the copper plating nicely but still wouldn't take the nickel. This stuff works great on the brass and watch and some tools I had hut it wouldn't at all stick to my gun. Gave up and Rediff the gun in Copy Chrome, now it looks amazing. All in all this kit will do both brushing and dip plating nicely. Glad I found this kit before I waisted a lot of money to a gunsmith to do the job. (Posted on 4/23/12)Rating - WOW!!! Review by Gary

I bought your PNP kit and felt that i really needed to drop you a line about it. Very seldom have I bought anything that has worked exactly as advertised. Needless to say that when i first used your PNP nickel kit I was awestruck as to how easy it was to use and how professional the results came out. I am still amazed as how great this kit is! I can't stop telling my friends about it and showing them the results! I have also used the copy chrome over the nickel plate and it has come out as nice as if i had taken it to a professional plater. I am a WWII reenactor (www.9thdivision.com) and i restore equipment from WWII, so when it came to repairing something that had worn plating I could do nothing. That is until I found your PNP kit. Now i can restore the equipment back to the way it was when it rolled off of the factory floor. I would recommend your kit to anyone, anytime. I also bought the 1.5 gallon traditional plating kit, although i have not had a chance to use it yet. I am going to be restoring a 1924 Victrola and will replate the parts using the traditional plating kit. I will send you pics when it is finished. Thanks again for such a great product!!!
