| Caswell Inc has been
involved in industrial and vehicle service bay floor
coatings for over 20 years, and you'll find our application
ideas and techniques second to none.
Following our simple
steps, from surface preparation to application, you'll
easily be able to achieve a truly professional finish
that will be the envy of everyone who sees your workshop.
The first step is to ensure the floor is degreased
thoroughly. Heavy oils spots are cleaned up with some
unique and simple techniques, then the entire floor
is washed down with our special degreasing liquid.
While still wet, the environmentally friendly acid
etch is applied. No dangerous fumes are emitted from
this type of "lemon juice" acid. The
floor is rinsed off, and puddles etc. mopped up.
Then the first coat of Basecoat color
is applied, directly onto the damp floor. This ensures
DEEP penetration of this special moisture tolerant
epoxy, which cures with incredible bonds overnight.
Next, a second coat of basecoat is applied and the
Color Flakes are lightly sprinkled into the wet resin.
The floor is allowed to dry overnight, and then the
final topcoat of Clear Glaze Urethane is applied.
This topcoat material is much better than an epoxy
as it has incredible abrasion resistance, and a much
longer lasting shine.
Full instructions come with the kits. Each kit covers
approx 500 square feet, or a double car garage
